DAY TRIP TO THE ISLE OF WIGHT
"A WONDERFUL ADVENTURE"

It was a very successful trip to the Isle of Wight as the Mitcham Pinoy members and friends joined together and enjoyed and have some fun. That happens on 19th September, Saturday morning, 7.30am when we gathered at London Road waiting for a 53 seater coach to arrive and drive us all the way from Mitcham to the Isle of Wight.

The trip was organised by MFBA officials and members and tickets are sold out two weeks before the trip. The coach departed in Mitcham at 8.30am straight to Southampton ferry terminal and catches the 11am Red Funnel that will carry us all the way to East Cowes.

There are an amazing number of attractions on the Isle of Wight for a place that measures only 23 miles by 13 miles. The Isle of Wight has over 60 places to visit with plenty of things to do come rain or shine! There are fun parks with thrilling rides, animal and bird sanctuaries, carnivals and festivals to delight visitors of all ages.

MFBA members and friends landed in East Cowes and from here we started our journey and visited the places like Alum Bay; where you can find the Needle Park, the famous views and dazzling multi-colured sand cliffs, Shanklin; the village is extremely pretty and most tourists head to the area for the thatched cottages, quaint shops and old fashioned tea rooms, which not only offer cream teas, but sea food specialities and attractive surroundings and Godshill; Godshill's name derives from the 15th Century church set upon a hill overlooking the village and with its unusual churchyard monuments, it is among the top 10 most visited churches in the UK.

The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break, at any time of year. It is a stunning Island boasting unspoilt scenery and a wealth of fascinating attractions. And for those who prefer to unwind and explore, there's so much to discover.
