Everyone seems enjoyed and excited that night when the programme kick-off. For the first time the crowd have seen unique performances prepared by MFBA members and other invited guest performers.

What makes the event so unique is maybe because of the stage decoration prepared by the creative minds of Mr Walter Gallaza and Mr Roger Ferreol or is it the wonderful barongs and kimonos wore by the MFBA members and other guests or is it the fantastic acts by the performers or maybe all of the above. Yes, all of the above makes the night so especial and unique.
The event showcases the Filipino tradition and culture from folk dancing such as cariñosa, banga, Lawiswis kawayan, pandango sa ilaw performed by the MFBA Dance Troupe. The jotabal, tiklos, lajota moncadeña and the very popular tinikling performed by the Oval Cultural Dancers. A performanced from Rianne Reyes, an eight-year-old wonder kid from Mitcham who has a powerful voice which sangs “May Bukas Pa” and “Halelluja” was the talk of the night and was being praised by the audience. Liza and Roger Ferreol together with Oscar Cacabelos have their own interpretation of Harana (Serenade), during the old times and in the rural areas of the Philippines the man would make serenade to the woman at night and sing song of love. In addition to the above, there were other acts being performed that made the programme very entertaining.
After the first part of the programme, the disco started and all seems very excited to dance as they rushed into the dance floor and do non-stop swinging and dancing. They even do the line dancing with the tune of “Achy Breaky Heart” lead by Miss Vangie Carpanel, Oval Cultural Dancers.
The event was not over without raffle draws for which the winners will take home prizes donated by the generous MFBA members and friends.
